From a single after-school initiative in Bariga to a globally recognised arts organisation — this is the Footprints of David story.
Footprints of David Art was born in 2005 out of a simple but urgent conviction: that the children of Bariga deserved more than the narrative the world had written for them. What began as an after-school art initiative became, over two decades, one of Nigeria's most distinctive performing arts organisations.
Working in the spheres of Theatre, Dance, Drama, and Music — and supported by departments in photography, videography, art journalism, and management — we built an academy that trains children not just in art, but in discipline, responsibility, passion, excellence, family, and the courage to dream beyond their circumstances.
Today, our alumni run their own organisations. Our productions have toured internationally. Our community foundation is actively transforming Bariga — one child, one family, one street at a time.
A full-spectrum performing arts organisation serving children, communities, and institutions across Nigeria and beyond.
Footprints of David Art is guided by an exceptional Board of Trustees — distinguished leaders in the arts, education, law, and public service from Nigeria and the wider world.
